The project combines two apartments in a modern residential complex in western Moscow.
"Our goal is a modern, bright, cozy interior with touches of a unique Russian style—a hybrid between Japandi and Russian heritage," — the clients' main wish.
The apartment owners are a young and progressive family with a teenage child.
The entire design is executed in classic sandy tones, with walls and furniture featuring traditional Slavic ornamentation in marsala color, which echoes the ceramic granite in the bathrooms and kitchen.
Graphite-colored windows paired with contrasting dark furniture pieces make the interior graphic and expressive. Rounded corners of walls and built-in furniture soften the space and add natural flexibility. Russian folklore is reflected in the decor elements, paintings, and lighting fixtures created in Slavic traditions. A small guest bathroom became a highlight of the entire interior, thanks to Palekh-style painting on the walls, reminiscent of Russian childhood fairy tales.
