We designed a country house in the Moscow region in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. In the original, the Prairie House features horizontal forms stretched across the landscape, low roofs with wide overhangs. In our project, it was not possible to stretch the house along the landscape due to the limited plot size, so we employed other techniques to create an organic and cozy architecture — horizontal belts, corner windows, a dark roof cornice, and retaining walls that smoothly transition from the architecture into the landscape. The house is constructed with a reinforced concrete frame filled with aerated concrete blocks. For cladding, we chose beam bricks in white and black, a combination that makes the façade more expressive and elegantly restrained.
The house includes 5 bedrooms, a spacious living room with a kitchen and dining area, a dedicated music room, a garage for 2 cars, a small terrace with plants overlooking the backyard, a terrace on the flat roof of the garage, 4 walk-in closets, and several technical rooms necessary for comfortable living.
